High School Musical

I saw the “High School Musical” movie… and I liked it. They made it easy to see, easy to hear… easy to digest. One of those productions that the whole family can watch without worrying about steamy scenes, violence or bad language. It’s the reason why the movie turned out to be a hit in the US while staying off most people’s radar.

To begin with, the movie deals with the classic story of those who challenge the status quo for love.

They even made it the title of a song; and then there’re the other songs: the first encounter between the main characters, the song about teamwork, the love song… let’s put it this way, it’s the reason why the movie turned out to be so addictive.

Noeshtiosita says most bloggers on Big Blogger ended up liking the movie. And for more than two of them to agree on something is something of a wonder, which is in itself just a reflection of what’s happening all over the world.

In my own case it reminds me of my time during high school as part of the backstage team of the theater group. I’m 23 and it made me feel fuzzy and warm inside :P too bad my experience in high school wasn’t so gratifying.

This is the very reason Disney is pushing the movie in any way possible. I remember reading about it on Dia Siete and I didn’t put much attention to the article. Oh well.

Now I’m just waiting for the movie to be broadcast on the airwaves over channel 5 since I haven’t seen any pirated DVDs… yet.

It’s here where I continue this post. Looks like it won’t be channel 5(televisa) who got the movie. Turns out channel 7(television azteca) got it first and are already advertising it.

That’s what happens when you put a post away and let it get dusted over :P I wrote this one two weeks ago.
