Voting machines

Reading my feeds I found the biggest stupidity for elections in Mexico City: voting machines.

Don’t they understand that’s a bad idea? Measures can be taken to avoid bad use… but on the majority of times they’ve been used they have given bad results, apart from the fact they have lousy security and they don’t leave a trail that can be audited. On some occasions authorities even decided to go back to paper ballots.

I suppose they’re not happy the system can’t add 2 + 2, they also want people who have never used a computer in their lives to suddenly switch the voting method they have always used: a piece of paper and a crayon.
